New and updated version of Seccubus is released with many new features….
Seccubus runs vulnerability scans at regular intervals and compares the findings of the last scan with the findings of the previous scan. The delta of this scan is presented in a web GUI when findings can be easily marked as either real findings or non-issues. Non issues get ignored until they change. This causes a dramatically reduction a analysis time.
You can automatically fire regular security scans with Nessus. Compare results of the current scan with the previous scan and report on the delta in a web interface. Main objective of the tool is to make repeated scans more efficient.
It is handy tool there are many other tools which does same features but we found Seccubus to be more stable.

Finally, another version of Nessus is out after about a month! This is Nessus version 4.2.2!

Since April this year, Tenable Security has completely re-written Nessus to give us version 4.2.1!

This version improves the speed of the GUI and lower the memory overhead when performing a scan. Also, interaction between the GUI and the database has been improved to better handle browsing reports with thousands of hosts or thousands of open ports per host. In addition to the above, memory consumption has been designed to take better advantage of the allotted memory used by Nessus.
The following bugs were fixed in this version:
- Fixed a memory leak when NASL was running with safe checks disabled
- Fixed several segmentation faults that occurred when the system was low on resources
- Improved performance on specific database queries that would take too much time to complete
- Improved compatibility with HTTP proxies for the plugin updates
- Fixed a bug that occurred when converting a large report to .nessus or .nessus.v1
- Fixed a SQL error occurring when polling the scan progress while a filter is set for the report
- Fixed a size limit for hosts tags
- Fixed an issue that occurred when exporting data to a .nessus.v1 file, which would make the “Description” header sometimes go away
- Fixed a bug in the”Avoid sequential scan” set option that resulted in only the first 256 IP address to be scanned
- Fixed a bug in Nessus GUI that resulted in losing some host tags information in the report
